This is what it looks like when 2 Elster meters are on the same multidrop address.
You get /GEC twice (1) and (2)
and then the second message starts good (3) but becomes gibberish halfway into the message (4)

enter message...Connection Request Failed: java.lang.Exception: Cannot connect: Uninitialized

Cannot connect: Uninitialized seems to be related to CSD dialup only.

It happens when the server cannot open the Serial port to the CSD modem, because it is already in use.
