SDG Technologies has over 10 years of development experience in the Remote Metering Field. We are the designer, owner and manufacturer of cutting edge Time-Of-Use (TOU) aware Remote Terminal Units (RTU). These units can be used for high density metering in buildings, e.g. Shopping Centers.There are currently thousands of meters installed on Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) using these RTUs. Object Map has over 10 years experience in the Remote Metering Field, being wholly responsible for the development of another Prominent South African AMR System.Object Map has been working for SDG Technologies from April 2008, developing the next generation of AMR product: called Plug and Play Scada. Plug and Play Scada is all about making AMR more accessible, more affordable, more powerful and more reliable. To do that, we had to design and develop a new AMR system from the ground up, but with the benefit of past experience.Marinus van Zyl, Object Map's lead developer, is one of the original developers responsible for creating the prestigious South African SCADA package called Adroit, with many installations both locally and on all major continents and islands. Marinus is also a SAP Certified Professional Developer, with 5 years experience in programming solutions in SAP-ABAP for various South African companies.Being from a Process Control background, we know what the need for reliability and performance is all about, and we bring that to the AMR/Smart Metering Arena.
