'If you have not entered the default programming password 'FEDC0003' while programming an Elster A1140 meter using PMU/SmartSet software, the default password on the actual hardware will revert to '--------' (in other words, 8 x -). If you are having problems gaining access to the meter details, try this password as an alternative FEDC0003.
