pulse-enabled meters

Question:
There are a total of 5 three-phase meters installed ? one called ?General? for all the common area metering, and one for each of the four apartments. Four of the meters are DIN-rail mount ?Merlin Gerin Multi9? units. The other meter is a CE DEM021 meter as shown. Do you perhaps know these meters, or have you ever worked with them? From research I?ve done on the net, these don?t appear to be pulse-enabled meters, and therefore we?d need to replace them with something like the Elster A1100 in order to connect them to PnPSCADA.

Answer:
Yes, the Elster A1100 does have pulses. Even better would be if you replace them with Elster A1140, since then you don't have to synchronize the pulses and do any pulse cable wiring: we can query the meter through RS232. Commercial metering of energy through pulses are not considered reliable enough.
