currently the DC only told us about 1 meter: 95146XXX620   (serial changed for privacy reasons)

on that DCU

You can see that under Tools->Explore Linyang Concentrator

Ok, let me check

yes. Select the concentrator in the scada system, and then go to Tools->Explore Linyang Concentrator

the Concentrator tells us spontaneously about meters it 'found'

we have no control over that

Ok

In an attempt to get the Concentrator to tell scada about more meters, you can try to switch Power Off to the DC, wait until the lights go off and the DC is powered down, and then switch it back on again

Ok let me try

So i need to create meter account for the discovered meters

Then it will show the profile graph

Am I right?

Yes and No

You can already see a graph for the meter

if the profile was read

so, you can add 95146XXX620 onto that concentrator 95046XXX01 (serial changed for privacy)

What might be the issue here?

Look, unless you can force the DC to try to reconnect, typically (again) by switching off, waiting for all the lights to go off, and switching on again, you'll have to wait a few hours for a reconnection

are you sure this meter is in the list you see when you open the explore screen for that DC on pnpscada Tools?

Yes i am

ok

so then it is just a stale connection. Sometimes GPRS goes off, and then the link goes stale. It is supposed to do watchdogs every minute, but gprs signal can fade for many reasons. Unfortunately, with the Linyangs, it sometimes takes 4 hours before they reconnect

next day:

All of these were restarted yesterday

Any update as of now

hmmmm

it appears we never actually receive watchdogs from the concentrator

that would explain why the tcp connection gets stale

so what happens is that it connects, then 10 minutes later we disconnect

and then it connects again

etc

Why is it behaving that way

there must be some setting in the concentrator that we are missing

It does appear that the DC picked up when we closed the connection after 10 minutes, because it has an immediate reconnect after that

I wonder why some works fine and some does not

Ok, it is this one, under RFWAN module, if you scroll down, these are probably the correct values:
