Good day,

Hope you are well.

Currently Hexing is providing the following Data Concentrator:

HXEJ200, Data concentrator

I have also attached the Spec sheet for this meter.

Kindly advise if this meter is compatible on the PNPScade system.

Hi there,

There are 2 parts to this answer. The first addresses the functionality of the HXEJ200 as a Concentrator:

The HXEJ200 product exist in 2 forms on the pnpscada system, because it exists in 2 different firmwares, supporting 2 different protocols.

The older form that communicates using a similar DL/T 645 protocol (used by many Chinese meters and concentrators) - similar to the Hexing HXET-200 Concentrator - can be added as a Concentrator->HXET-200 Concentrator.

The newer form that communicates using a DLMS protocol can be added as a Concentrator->IDIS Concentrator.

Both can be used to read DLMS PLC Hexing meters of various kinds.

The IDIS Concentrator version has also been used to read other DLMS meters over FSK-PLC, e.g. CLOU meters. That specific HXEJ200 did not support G3-PLC in any form.

Another IDIS Concentrator (also HXEJ200) that we have had access to, could be configured in exactly the same way from the perspective of pnpscada, but was used to read Hexing meters over G3-PLC.

The moral of the story here, is that all HXEJ200s are not equal. Depending on the firmware and communication modules they are configured with, they present different functionalities, protocols and capabilities.

Hello,

The second part of the answer is pertaining to the HXEJ200 Concentrator's functionality as an Electricity Meter.

We have not in the past supported this functionality.

However, as of this past month, we have been having this requirement from different customers, to integrate the IDIS HXEJ200 meter functionality specifically. We are currently still assessing the possibilities around that, and should update this post when our assessment/development is done, within the next month.
