Answer:
'V>' is an Over Voltage Event, and generally gets logged by a meter when the input Voltage is too high, for instance maybe the point is receiving 260V instead of 220V.

This can damage equipment, e.g. Computer Screens or Electrical Motors.
Generally, you would ask your Energy Expert to advise you on the correct course of action when this occurs (each situation could be different). For example, it could involve repairs, or going through some kind of procedure at the utility to get a discount or compensation for damages.
Sometimes, there is some kind of an agreement with your utility where they undertake to give you energy at a specific voltage level (part of so called 'Quality of Supply'); and you could possibly have legal recourse if they supply you with a wrong voltage, especially if it damages expensive equipment. This agreement are sometimes only available to larger or industrial clients.
In a sub-metering context, it is handy to have this information on record for accountability purposes when your tenants come knocking because of their damaged equipment.
The event will appear in your validation screen if your meter is set to invalidate on that event - if you want to ignore these events, go to Edit->MeterEventSetup.
