To enable downloading of invoices in PDF format, go to Edit->Ledger Events and set Invoice Mode to Invoice on INVOICE
To disable the links on a ledger, go to Edit->Ledger Events and set Invoice Mode to off

If the manual payment is not showing, it might be because the Ledger is disabled. Go to Edit->Ledger Events and enable the ledger.
