hi Mark, you'll need to log into CommunitySMS to see it.

advanced usage:

Type:
Interface 1 is the normal RS232 setup
Interface 3 is the RS485 setup
Interface 2 is for KoCoS modems that plug into an Elster AS230/AS220.
In this case interface 1 talks to the host meter and interface 2 talks to the daisy chained meters.
In PNPSCADA this is loaded as 2 modems.
The host meter must be connected to a KoCoS and the daisy chained on a Generic Active Modem.

Identification:
The KoCoS can identify itself in 3 ways:
no identification (on PNPSCADA this is a Generic Active Modem)
by SIM number (on PNPSCADA a normal KoCoS modem)
by modem number (on PNPSCADA a KoCoS modem, but the SIM card's SIM number must be set to the modem's number)

Disable Other Interfaces:
When you've configured RS232 and should have configured RS485, or vice versa, you can tick this to disable the other interfaces and just configure the one you want configured.

COM Port:
Buffer Size: this is necessary for large packets such as IEC readout.

Example:
NOTE that you can still use this screen to setup KoCoS if you don't have CommunitySMS setup,
by just copying the example to your phone and sending the SMS from your phone
