meters not reading automatically

Please can you have a look at a problem for --------.
He has 5x L&G meters connected via a single modem. The meters don?t seem to retry a connection after having a profile read error. The modem at the moment is not connecting, I have let ------ know and as soon as that is sorted out I?ll let you know.

The problem is that the meter reading has failed to read so many times, the system doesn't want to try any more.
This meter has to be read in successfully at least once with Communication Monitor (under Tools) for the error counter to be cleared and automatic read scheduling to resume.
Another way is to go to Edit->Advanced Meter Settings, and clear the error streak counter by editing that screen. However, then it will just break again when the read in has failed a number of times, so for a permanent solution we recommend you fix the reading in of the meter. If it is totals only failing, you may want to disable the readings of totals for that meter on the Advanced Meter Settings screen, or reprogram the meter to return totals in the format accepted by PNPSCADA.
