Answer:
When some readings from a meter is suspect, it can mark readings as Bad/Calculated. These are normally good enough readings, however, sometimes not. To see whether it is acceptable, go to the profile in question and look at it. It might be immediately apparent what the problem is. To gather more data, select Meter Event Log from the profile graph screen. There should be additional events that tells you what happened (also make sure your meter is programmed for events). This can range from reverse runs, to phase failures to blown fuses, to customers exceeding their breaker size in amps, tampering, etc.

If could also help to view your phasor graphs and totals during this meter. This could show you a vast number of errors, e.g. blown fuses, wiring problems, meters running in reverse, etc.
It can sometimes also help to look at larger trends: zoom out the profile graph over many months, and see if there was a specific time when it perhaps fell to 2 thirds of the normal load, with a very bad power factor: this is typically when a fuse on one of the phases is blown, and the result of that is essentially that the customer is not paying for all the energy he uses.
