Remote Terminal Unit (RTU)
- Designed to be used in high density metering sites.
- Monitor up to 8 pulse meters
- DIN-rail mountable
- RTUs are interconnected using simple RS485 twisted pair wiring and they communicate using the modbus-RTU protocol.
- Contains its own battery backed-up real-time clock, which enables precise time-stamping, even if the power supply fails.
The RTU has been used to implement maximum demand and time-of-use sub-metering cost effectively using power meters with a pulse output, for example the <a href='http://85.10.211.170:700/vqwiki/jsp/Wiki?topic=Power+Link+PLE12D&action=action_edit'>
